It wasn't a great week to be a ranked team, with eight of the top 25 losing, including four of the top 10.
One of those upsets came in Charlottesville, with Bronco Mendenhall authoring his biggest upset as coach at Virginia with a win over a ranked Miami team, pushing to the Cavaliers to the top half of the Coastal Division.
The team leading the Coastal is Virginia Tech, which escaped its own upset loss on the road in North Carolina.
Teel also talks about Virginia Tech's media day for basketball and previews the upcoming ACC basketball media day.

On episode 56 of the Teel Time podcast, David Teel and Jonathan Heeter chat about Old Dominion's jaw-dropping upset over Virginia Tech.
The Monarchs' win over the Hokies may have changed the calculus for both schools this season. ODU started the season 0-3, but does this change the Monarchs' fortunes for the rest of the season? The Hokies, meanwhile, suffered one of their biggest upsets in school history. In the aftermath, Virginia Tech dismissed its top pass rusher Trevon Hill and found out quarterback Josh Jackson would be out for the foreseeable future with an injured leg.
Teel projects how the personnel developments will affect the Hokies going forward, beginning with this week's important league game against undefeated Duke.
Virginia is coming off an impressive and dominant win over Louisville. The Cavaliers face their own stiff road test this week at N.C. State.

Clemson was a near-unanimous pick to win the Atlantic Division, but how will the rest of the division shake out? Teel Time: Episode 25

The Virginia basketball team keep rolling along, as the Cavaliers went to Tallahassee and picked up a 12th straight ACC win. When -- or if -- will the Cavaliers lose?
Virginia Tech kept its tournament hopes alive with a win over N.C. State on Wednesday. The Hokies still have work to do, and Teel and Heeter discuss the silver lining in Tech's tough remaining schedule.

Teel Time: Episode 22
On Episode 22, David Teel and Jonathan Heeter chat about the ACC football schedule, which was released on Wednesday.
Can Virginia Tech continue along the path to another successful season, and who will be the starting quarterback with the Hokies travel to Florida State to open the season? Virginia closed its season on a slump, but the Cavaliers still made it to a bowl. Can Bronco Mendenhall achieve similar levels of success in year three despite losing starting quarterback Kurt Benkert as well as Micah Kiser and Quin Blanding on defense.
They take a dive into the ACC basketball schedule and chat about Virginia's 6-0 start in league play. The Hokies haven't been as successful early on, however, and Teel and Heeter discuss how quickly they need a turnaround before the season gets away from them. Teel talks about his surprises and disappointments a third of the way through league play.
Finally, Teel gives his Super Bowl picks and discusses the struggles of the Pittsburgh Steelers and their coach Mike Tomlin.
